Is this a good apo pump?

My machine came with this APO pump. I've barely used it over the last few years. I think the impeller went out. Is this worth messing with?

Cast iron is an option when you order it. Is there an advantage? Seems like it would rust out after a while. Not sure what came with mine since I haven't opened it up yet.

It would have taken many years for it to rust in that environment.

I pulled it apart and it had the cast iron impeller. Looks great. Wasn't working because it was clogged with hair.

At 16hg it pumps like mad. I must have clogged it a little first time I used it. It never worked this well.

I've done that before, assume something is kaput...and then find the silly simple solution an embarrassingly long time after I should have.
